If you are interested in history, you cannot stop visiting the former Municipal Palace, built in 1736. On the landing of its stairs you can see the figures of Miguel Hidalgo and Ignacio Allende. It was here that the first City Council of independent Mexico was installed in 1810.
5. Discover a Corner of Allende
Visit the House of Allende. With a beautiful neoclassical façade designed in the mid-18th century, this construction houses an interesting collection of pieces from the Independence era arranged in the rooms where the hero Ignacio Allende y Unzaga was born.
6. Admire its Architecture
Admire the magnificent façade of the Temple of San Francisco, in a churrigueresque style, with numerous stipes pilasters; a notable neoclassical tower and dome attributed to the renowned architect Francisco Tresguerras.
